The Detailed Design Plans have been completed and the project went to Construction Tender on July 16th. A Contractors’ Site Meeting took place on July 19th, and bids are to be received by August 8th.

Other Key Dates Include:

– Contract Award – August 19th

– Anticipated Construction Start Date – September 3rd

In the upcoming weeks you will see various staff and a variety of contractors on-site preparing the L.I.F.E. Services Centre and surrounding property for construction.

Please note that access will be modified in that the construction zone will be cordoned off in order to ensure everyone’s safety. Those travelling to the Child Care and L.I.F.E. Services Centre will use the primary entrance, while those using the Youth Centre will need to access through the Fire Department entrance.

This is an exciting new opportunity for growth and prosperity for the citizens of Hiawatha First Nation!
