Face Masks or Covering Now Mandatory

Back to News

“As you are aware Hiawatha just moved into our Stage 2 re-opening phase. However, as the province moves into Stage 3, and we continue to see the number of COVID cases increase in BC, AB and SK after their re-opening, HFN Council has made the decision to make masks mandatory in public spaces within the Hiawatha Boundaries (please see attached notice) effective July 20, 2020, for the continued safety of our Citizens.

We are aware that wave 2 of this pandemic is imminent and its impact will depend on us as individuals, as a community, and at the local, regional and national levels. We are taking this time to be as proactive as possible to keep wave 2 minimal in case numbers.

We ask that you remember to bring your mask/face covering with you, upon entering any HFN public buildings and business (ORRS), should you not have one we will supply you with one at this time.”
